On the news yesterday, I watched a piece on voters that have decided NOT to vote in the 11.8.22 midterm elections. Most stated that they "do not usually vote in midterms, only Presidential elections". Hmmm...
This Saturday, I'll have been retired for a year. Yes, I've had a ton of opportunities to study the political landscape and issues. I know I'm a worrier (Thanks Mom) and at this juncture, I believe it's warranted.
My fellow Democrats see, like I do, the need to focus on a few choice topics. Even some Republicans do, also. Let's check some boxes.
- Equal Voting Opportunities
- Reproductive Healthcare
- Social Security
- Medicare/Medicaid
- Eldercare
- Fair Taxing
- Gun Reform
- Immigration Reform
- Solid Infrastructure
Just a snapshot here, folks. If you're for capitalist societies, then you've probably already left the building. I'm more for having my tax dollars assist the less fortunate than me dying with the most toys. I haven't always been that way, but aging has really changed me. I just want less hate, less sickness, less death, homelessness, clean water for all, safe bridges, cleaner air, and less dependency on oil. Especially if it comes from out of our country.
Whichever side of the isle is yours, please vote. And please encourage others to vote. ROCK THE VOTE.
