The Bitter End

 08.1.2022

Another friend dropped by my posts yesterday. It was sad, and a particularly hard sting. He is a good hearted man, and I'll give him the benefit of my doubts by saying he may be chemically imbalanced. I'm no doctor, but I am chemically imbalanced, so I'm pretty well read on the subject.

The things he wrote were cutting to say the least. I've done my share of posting negative commentary too, but I draw a line on personal attacks. Most of the time. I insinuate my thoughts, but less graphic or colorful. Except with my brother. And only him because I know he can take it.

Yesterday was eye opening. I never saw this coming from this individual. A couple of examples:

  • Are you  Democrat? Or confused cat?
  • Can you say the word collusion?
  • Sounds like you might be lobbying for the newest job openings with Black Lives Matter.
  • I'm a Christian man with real Christian values.
  • Do you share these posts with your family?
  • The Democrats don't even like the Democrats anymore.
  • Are you ok? Are you smoking crack?
  • It's people like you that keep trouble started.
  • Do you support Warnock? A Pastor saying he is Pro Choice, it's like saying Jesus was a Nazi.
OK, this is less than half of his response to a 4 cell collage of memes I'd posted. I stand by my actions as does he, and I am fortunate that we both get to post our views. My take, however, is to take the road of John Lewis in pursuit of Good Trouble.

As with lots of things, the bitter end is rarely a good thing. Yesterday was no different. I'll nurse my wounds and continue to try and understand his point of view.

OK, I tried.

It's a no-go.

Vote Blue.🌊🫂🌊

I thank you for stopping by.
