Pro Life vs Pro Choice

 08.05.2022

The many arguments around the world are worth reviewing. I see all of it being worth our time to consider. It's been a battle for me over the years as well. My views are based on my studying this argument. It's a tough choice for me, and I can't even carry a child through a pregnancy. But so many can, and I believe it should be the women's/girls choice based on their views and/or conditions.

Shit. I've offended so many with my thoughts and viewpoints. It's never intentional. My heart is focused on ALL of us thinking about EVERYONE.

I read with great interest about foster care in our country. It's alarming the invisible numbers revealed. For lots of different reasons, some though, unbelievable. I'll never be able to conceive some reasons. Because kids. The argument that "unwanted babies can just be put up for adoption" does not hold water with me. We can't unload them like groceries from our cars. Adopting kids is expensive, and many loving, caring folks just don't have the means.

Check these stats below. If you don't think women should be able to make their own decisions, due to whatever reason(s), maybe you should consider, just CONSIDER, these.

The number of foster youth nationwide is 407,493.

216,838 children entered the US foster care system in 2020.

Eight out of 1,000 US children experience abuse or neglect.

22,971 children in foster care were in the system for five years or more.

In 2018, 22,543 kids entered the California foster care system.

20,000 children between 18 and 21 years old age out of the system yearly.

Foster care students are less likely to graduate from high school.

Only 21% of urban and 5% of rural foster youth have access to a computer at home.

Foster kids get suspended and expelled from school three times more often than other children.

One out of four foster kids show signs of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Two scenarios:  1. Your 14 year old daughter is raped by a local gang member.  2. Your 14 year old daughter, totally in love with her boyfriend, is pregnant. Let's think outside of the box.

Thank you for stopping by.
