On Tyranny

 08.15.2022

What does tyranny mean in simple terms?

1. An act or the pattern of harsh, cruel, and unfair control over other people.

2. A government in which all power is in the hands of a single ruler.

This is the title of a book I just received. I haven't started it yet, but will this week. I secured a copy before it was banned. The next possible step by our sitting  lawmakers. Damnit, man. Hope I'm wrong.

Do any tyrants come to mind, based on the above definitions?

It's a tricky question for some, I know. But make no mistake about what we've experienced over the last 6 or so years. Even the folks you'd never think would play along to a tyrant may surprise you. They have me.

As November creeps in, please think deeply about your choice at the polls. The freakish, geekish, power hungry options are plenty. Let's weed them out.

Thank you for stopping in.
