To everyone. Try to make a difference in all with whom you come into contact. In the grocery store. At the home improvement center. Where you purchase fuel. At the pharmacy. To your neighbors. In traffic. At the library or bookstore (quietly). Where you work. Where you play. You know, like state parks where every camper greets every camper. At school. At the stadium on GameDay. In parking lots. At restaurants. Matter of fact, to everyone in the retail or service industry. You get it.

My bride found an intriguing movie for us last night, "Paradise Highway". It was centered around childhood abductions, and then selling kids to become sex slaves. Tough to watch, but essential in that it's more prevalent than I was aware.

Definition: Human trafficking is the practice of exploiting adults and children for use as commodities, or objects, in conditions of sexual and labor servitude. Also known as "modern slavery." Grrrrrr.

The humane treatment of human beings isn't difficult. Trying to reach out to help and comfort another, can be. Everyone deserves at least a minimal level of dignity. Let's put an end to an age old problem centered around power and greed. Taking advantage of another human being that has not had the same opportunities as you is horrible, and inhumane. People fleeing persecution or abusive situations need help. Lift all  people. It's up to each of us to build our America the correct way, especially opposed to what we see people absorb on TV and the internet. 

Is my outlook cloudy? I don't think so. And I hope you don't, either. Together, we can do so much. So let's do it.
