Just One Day

If we could go one day...just one day...without hearing anything trump. Bad or good. I know, I'm being unrealistic about the good part. 

What we know so far, and what we desire from trump and some others. With the help of one of my mentors, Mark Twain:

• Even a polished turd is still a turd.
• If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, pretty good chance it's a grifter...I mean duck.
• You can run, but you can't hide.
• If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
• Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to reform (or pause and reflect).
• A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.
• Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.
• Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.
• What would men be without women? Scarce, sir...mighty scarce.
• Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination.
• You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.
• If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.
• Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.
• Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
• Education: the path from cocky ignorance to miserable uncertainty.
