Proactive vs Reactive

 08.28.2022

It's gettin' real, folks. Temperatures. Sea levels. Wildfires. Floods. Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Tropical depressions. Heat waves. Droughts. Crop failures. But we keep on drilling, allowing the same industrial polluters to  slowly make moves to follow rules created to protect us, but the poison we allow to take place is so vast. It's gone on so long. I know, the economics of business will always be factors. Thank goodness for those that have been able to move in a proactive way to keep their business alive while doing all the right things for our environment. It's pretty important.

But those that are just beginning to be reactive, though. Is it too late? Am I so unaware by thinking it may be too late? It's just that, following the science, we best get a move on. Like other countries. We are woefully behind.

So, I'll wrap this up by saying that it's not always about the economy. As Yoda would say, "Outside the box we must think".

Please do your part. Recycle. Carpool or ride-share, or use mass transit. Limit fossil fuel use. Conserve water and other natural resources. Talk to folks in your communities and encourage others to plan for their kids & their kid's kids.

Thank you for stopping by.
